Service Description

THIS IS NOT A TEACHING SESSION, SUPPORT ONLY. These sessions are provided to support jewellers who are still learning, needing advice on a project, or just need support with their metalsmithing. Each bench is equipped with a Foredom SR with quick release handpiece, Bench peg holder and peg, piercing saw, wax, emery sticks, needle files, ring mandrel and mallet, ring clamp, burnishers, pusher, plier set, flush cutters, metal ruler and a bench skin. Other tools available to use in the workshop include, two Sievert Pro 86 jewellers torches with propane bottles and a variety of nozzles, and two smaller versa flame Dremel torches, Foredom bench lathe and extractor, Durston combination C100 mini rolling mill, Cookson ring stretcher, a variety of hand files, hammers, disc cutter and other forming tools. All sundries (saw blades, burrs, drill bits, platinol, flux, etc) can also be used for a small fee of £3 per half day, materials are not supplied and must be brought with you or you can request I order them in on your behalf and add the cost to your session bill. Fridge, microwave, and kettle are available to use, as well as dishes, cutlery, tea, coffee, and water/squash. Email to enquire about bench rental availability. Please be aware that all jewellers renting benches, whether supported or independent, will be required to provide evidence of their skill level. Jewellers learning with myself will be invited to use bench rental services when they meet the required level of proficiency.
