My jewellery workshop is a place where you can step away from the stresses of everyday life and take a moment to create something special with me. I offer a wide range of bespoke design and making services including remodelling and memorial design. Initial consultations are free and can be booked easily to get started on a design idea, or give you an idea of possibilities and costs. Alternatively, if you'd like to have a go at making your own jewellery, or already know how but dont have a suitable work space, my workshop is set up with 4 additional benches, equipped with a variety of essential tools, and are available for both rental and classes.

With independent and supported bench rental, I provide a space where you can hone your skills or learn something new. As a teacher, I am passionate about passing on my knowledge and skills to others. If you are looking to create something unique, pick-up a new hobby or just want to try something different, I would love to hear from you!

Memorial Jewellery

Memorial Jewellery has been a really popular addition to Mhairi Gibbons Jewellery since I created my first ashes piece in 2018.

I then also began to introduce fingerprint and handwriting engraving at the request of a few clients and the service has gone from strength to strength.

It doesn't stop there however, I'm always open to knew ideas and challenges, and I work hard at investigating wider possibilities with memorial pieces.

Remodelling

Do you have a box full of old and unworn jewellery? Or maybe a piece that holds sentimental value, but could use a facelift?

Remodelling old, sentimental or unworn jewellery is an amazing way of updating your jewellery collection.

Gemstones and metals can be transformed from something that sits in a box to something that you dont want to take off!

Bespoke Design

Bespoke design gives you an opportunity to have your jewellery ideas come to life.

So often we know what we would like but we just cant find it.

A free consultation is the first stage of this process and gives you the chance to investigate the possibilities before watching these ideas come to life.

Whether you have a metal or a stone in mind and dont quite know where to go with it or you have been planning the perfect piece forever, I would love to guide you through the process and take the initial idea to a finished piece.

Classes & Bench Rental

With Four additional benches at Mhairi Gibbons Jewellery, I'm so pleased to be able to offer jewellery making classes as well as workspace to experienced jewellers on a half or full day rental basis.

All classes on offer are suitable for beginners, and all tools and materials are included in the cost of each class.

Refreshments are also provided, but you are welcome to bring any drinks or snacks with you.

For jewellers who may require assistance due to limited experience or wishing to tackle new techniques, supported bench rental is also available. I would stress this is not a teaching session, and all jewellers renting benches whether supported or independent will be required to provide evidence of their skill level.
